What does Kane have to do with apples?

We're talking bananas, stay on topic.

Nuts and bananas sounds like an excellent, balanced way to start your morning.

In 2013, he had to apology for a homophobic tweet.

In 2014, he was sued for financial damages for assaulting a bar patron.

In 2016, he was investigated (though cleared) for sexual assault, the woman would eventually sue him for bodily harm.

Later in 2016, he was arrested and charged for assaulting three woman and a bouncer at another bar.

Nothing may have been proven in court, but he's pretty much the definition of "where there's smoke." And has long been reported to be a dick everywhere he goes.

And that's overlooking hockey issues, like his teammates throwing his jumpsuit into the shower, multiple healthy scratches and benches, posing with all his cash on twitter (whatever to the last one) and now another fight with another teammate.

Then again, he did knock out Cooke.

But Sam, eichle and bogo bought him a $5k bottle of booze for playing in his 500th game. I think the real question needs to be asked. Which teammates attended his 21st birthday party?

The thread title looks like 8 preschoolers each got to pick a word at random. They each wrote their word on a ping pong ball. The balls were then thrown into the air and placed in order of proximity to a random point.

Is nut and banana a real saying or did you make it up? Either way, I like it and I'm sure Lance Armstrong does too.

I'm not surprised at all. These people aren't friends. They're a group of, often arrogant, high level millionaire athletes who are forced to play with each other. Scrums break out at my beer league within teams, where nothing matters. Scrums, where careers, championships, and millions of dollars are on the line must be fairly common.

Someone getting shoved and called selfish is probably pretty common. Particularly when an athlete's career relies on putting up stats. It's probably extremely common for players to resent each other for being selfish with scoring opportunities.

Honestly I kind of put it together.

I had a friend who liked to use terms like

This drives me nuts

Or that's bananas

But because she was heavily french canadian

it was

this drives me nut

or that's banana

I just like the sound of it.

Especially when they're not winning. Seems Kane is trying to pad his stats while everyone else is...not doing much of anything.

scrums break out on the ice cause guys are competitive sure...

how many times do guys get their clothes tossed into the shower by their captain because they are tired of someone's BS and then everyone leaves on the team bus without bothering to wait for him?

said individual got traded shortly after...

Would love to hear some examples. I only assume he's a dbag from his money pics and bits and pieces I've heard. Some first hand stories would be great.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Exhibit A - Z on why he should never wear the Flames' jersey. Kind of embarrassing the price some people on CP wanted to pay to get him because ''he's a RW and scores goals and is physical''. As if those 15-18 minutes of attributes per game somehow nullifies the remaining 23h 45min the rest of the team has to spend with him.

"But all that matters is what he does on the ice!". Nope. It bloody matters when stuff like this is popping up all of the time and it likely effects players off the ice too, which in turn translates to what happens on the ice.

He can stay the hell away from the Flames.

On a side note, it's interesting to see just how far the Sabres have fallen in this rebuild. After the 2005 lockout, they were the model team to emulate. Back to back ECF appearances. A strong drafting team that built from within. They had youth and speed with the likes of Briere, Drury, Afinogenov, Miller, Roy, Connolly, Campbell, etc. All in their primes. And all big time contributors. Then they lost Briere and Drury for nothing. #1 D Campbell was traded away. Miller eventually got injured and was traded. Just horrible asset management from top to bottom. They went from being one of the model organizations in the 'new' NHL, to being a team that is stuck in an endless rebuild after losing out on McDavid.

Quite a sight to behold how team can come from such a high, then come crashing down with no end in sight.
