First team that had a chance claimed him, good for him. He can prove that he is not just in the league because of his brother.

I am pretty sure that once claimed he has to spend the rest of the year on a NHL roster.

No the Coyotes can send him back on waivers anytime.
If he clears they can send him to the AHL, but if someone else claims him he has to stay on their NHL roster, and so and so on.

definitely not. Ottawa waived DiDomenico in December, the Lightning claimed him and then waived him again, Ottawa reclaimed him. If you're reclaiming your former player and are the only team to put in a claim, you can immediately send him down.
I believe Zach Boychuk once hit waivers four times within a few weeks.

If yotes waive him, I believe flames would hold priority if they were to put in a claim

Norm!

Does he have like awesome advanced stats or he plays well in even minutes during even periods on early games on dates that end with 3 or 7?
Cause I'm thinking that the Advanced match genius failure GM in Arizona has been sniffing his spread sheets again.

Players claimed off waivers can be sent through waivers again.
If Arizona waives F. Hamilton again and no claims, they can assign him to the AHL.
If Arizona waives him any team can claim him as per the regular waiver priority. Flames do not get first crack at him if he is put back on waivers, they are still in the regular waiver priority... this is a myth that is spread by ill informed members of the media and fans.
If the Flames do claim him back off waivers, they can directly assign him to the AHL ONLY IF they were the only team put a claim in on him. Otherwise he would need to clear waivers again to be assigned to the AHL.

Maybe they can now be adults and change their names to Fred and Doug.

Rather surprised he was claimed. Although it was by worst team in the league but at least one team sees value in him besides being a babysitter.

Why does this bother people so much? I have a nickname that ends in the letter "Y" and lots of my friends and family still use it.

Yes, and likely their parents started it as well. Granted speculation on my part, but it does seem to be common with some parents on the continuation of the use of "Y" / "IE" on children's names. It sometimes just sticks into their adult years.

And then you have Johnny Gaudreau instead of John or Johnathan/Jonathan. I don't recall ever hearing anyone have a problem with that.

Dougie and Freddie's father is named Doug. I recall an interviewer asking Dougie, why he doesn't go by Doug and his response was that Doug is his dad's name and that he would always be a "Dougie."

I admittedly have a double standard.
Johnny is an acceptable name for adults.
I know a grown ass man who still goes by Mikey. Like wtf?
Just like Mikey, Dougie is unacceptable.
