So what is our lineup going to look like tomorrow?

Are we hoping to see something like this:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Ferly
Tkachuk - Backs - Eat Bread
Bennett - Janko - Hathaway
Jagr - Stajan - Brouwer

Something needs to be done about that 4th line. It isn't good.

Ideally, when healthy, it would be nice to see this:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Ferly
Tkachuk - Backs - Frolik
Bennett - Janko - Hathaway
Eat Bread - Stajan (or Lazar) - Versteeg

Jagr and Brouwer can jump in when Mangiapane starts to stumble or they can ride the bench or jump in when more injuries come up. More youth would be nice in that bottom 3.

No, I get how waivers work. My point was that this doesn't have to mean there's a trade in place or something. It could just mean that he's being sent down or they're maintaining the eligibility of sending him down.

I would waive Lazar too. He needs to play somewhere.

We have LA and Anaheim as our next two games.

...I’ll hope that this is somehow related to us adding a new scoring winger before the two most important games of the season, because dropping 4 points to those teams is going to hurt our playoff hopes in a meaningful way.

What I REALLY hope is that we're not going to see Bartkowski against LA or Anaheim (or both). It seems like GG's subbing him in vs "bigger" teams, but "bigger" doesn't mean "unable to exploit a career minor-league-at-best D-man."

Unfortunately, even if the BT made a roster move for some scoring help, that acquisition likely won’t be much of a factor until they get acclimated with the team, which is likely after those two games..

Not necessarily. Remember Jokinen's first game with the Flames? Turris with the Predators this season had a goal and assist. New acquisitions make immediate impacts all the time.

Lol... I’m sure there are more over that span but naming 2 players over a what? A 12 year span? doesn’t help your point nor negate mine..

Flames twitter also reporting F. Hamilton is not skating today.

This makes me believe he’s actually on a plane at the moment, and once he clears tomorrow he’ll be re-assigned.

LA is 11 points ahead of us. Pretty hard to see us catching them in any scenario.

The two games after LA against ANA and MIN are the big ones as they are right in the thick of it.

I like this idea. That would leave us with:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Ferland
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Bennett - Jankowski - Hathaway
Mangiapane - Hrivik - Lazar

With one of Stajan / Brouwer / Jagr either waived or on IR.

That forward line-up would really showcase our depth, provide a four line attack, and have everyone playing in the right spot in the line-up for now.

I think you need to move Tkachuk , would luv to see him on first line and move Ferly off. Wasting Tkachuk's talents with Backs and Frolik IMO

Maybe we need to move a second rounder for Baertschi, we know he’s good for his first 3 games in Flames silks! (Still injured?)
