Terrible picks in the shootout. Monahan hasn’t looked good for 10 games and Backlund has never scored in that situation

That's a bummer, but a great game of hockey! The defensive side is really clicking right now. We could sure use some of that elite first line scoring though.

Deserved a better fate in this one. Take the point, get 2 tomorrow. Still prefer a winner/loser than a tie but 10 minutes of 3 on 3 OT is a must before shootout.

Won twice in a row in the calendar year of 1996, but spanned two seasons.

I don’t like how the team played in the 2nd or the 3rd. That’s an annoying loss for me.
Flames deserved to lose this one. Move on to Anaheim tomorrow, but losing that point to the Sharks stings.
