Ruzicka is back out there.
Really impressed with Fox tonight, strong in the corners and has shown his strength in skating the puck out of the zone.

I dont think Fox will be given the Paul Coffey green light on every shift against Canada.

Tied after 2 periods. Looks like the Americans will need to be burning energy well into the third period tonight. Not the greatest preparation for the upcoming outdoor game vs. Canada in 17 hours.

Scores next shift.
Can you imagine having two Tkachuks? That would be fearsome.

Looking at ticketmaster though, it looks like there's a few thousand unsold but over 70k available. I'd call 65k fans for a world junior game a huge success, especially relative to every other world junior game in the last few years.
|
Looking at what's available on StubHub and Ticketmaster, it doesn't look like they're selling any end zone seats, so it won't quite be the full 70,000. They are expecting 40,000+ though, so it will still shatter the World Junior single-game attendance record.

There are two Rasanens. [Insert Jim Benning meme]
Aapeli Rasanen (Oilers prospect) has been on Finland's roster from day 1.
Eemeli Rasanen and Tuulola are waiting to be used for Finland's last roster spot.

I swear, the IIHF website had Rasanen, Eemeli in the lineup just a few minutes ago, but now he's gone. Either they changed it seconds ago or the two fingers of single malt is messing with my mind

It seems extremely odd to me that the USA as hosts are playing a late game tonight and turn around and play an afternoon game, outdoors at that, tomorrow.
Its also odd to me that they havent pulled away from the Slovaks with 12 minutes left. Canada had no problem with this team at all.

That was a good pressure by Ruzicka to help create that goal.
