when i was getting my daughter (4yrs old) ready for bed this evening she said, 'daddy, i need you to clean all the gunk out of my ears before i go to bed so i can hear when santa and the reindeer are on the roof!'

Christmas for me is about family, friends and getting together as group to celebrate in some good food and cheer. Unfortunately my family is scattered all over North America and they don't get home very often. I'm thankful that my brother is able to fly home each year for Christmas and that I have wonderful friends to help celebrate the season with.
I envy those who have all their family nearby. Please don't take them for granted and cherish the moments you have each year at Christmas. There may come a time when they all can't be there.
This is an amazing site and i've met many wonderful people here. Sometimes we argue, sometimes we agree and sometimes we curse at each other, but in the end we are all better for knowing one another. We rally and come together as a community for the greater good so that we can make a difference in the lives of others.
I would like to raise a glass and toast the members on the wonderful site and say Merry Christmas to one and all!

I'm one of the lucky ones who gets to celebrate the holidays with family every year, last night at one sister's place, breakfast this morning at another sister's place, dinner tonight at my parents. Lucky guy. And my kids love their presents this year and they even hugged each other!
