Can't beat going to the rink in shorts for practice though.

Sorry Canada, I want to make millions, and live in nice weather.

* Add to list any state with above average state tax.
Understandable, but as someone with a young family, I'd rather raise them in Canada

The United States is a ##### show right now. Even more than usual

Edmonton or Vancouver are really the only two. Even though I loved living in the Vancouver area playing for the Canucks would be gross.

Drive spots cars to the rink. Go swimming/surfing in the ocean frequently. Eat outside with my family. Play outside with my family in my pool, even if I am only there for 42 games a year.

I could think of more. To me it would be a huge bonus to live in California (most preferable), Or any other sunny warm place.

Well atleast we made it to page 2 before the first anti American comment.

Edmonton, Winnipeg, Detroit, Buffalo are cities to which I’d be very reluctant to move if my firm asked.

Tax rates, media intensity, general anonymity, weather, old facilities, travel schedule. Just off the top of my head.

1) All Canadian cities. Sorry Canada, I love you but want no part of that scene.
Tor, Mtl, Van and edm I can see, WPG because it's an ice field but I don't think the media in CGY and OTT are that bad are they?
I'd have no problem with CGY, young up and coming team, low taxes, safe and clean city to raise a family.

I dunno, maybe it's just me but none of that would remotely deter me from playing for my favourite team.

Edmonton, Detroit, Vegas, LA, San Jose, Arizona, Chicago, Anaheim are teams I wouldn't go to.

Calgary, Toronto, Buffalo, Tampa, Florida, NYR I would like to be.

Don't care about the others.

Edmonton by far the easiest choice. Not really weather related, just such a horribly run franchise. No thanks.

Montreal. Ruthless media if it turns on you. Not worth it.

Winnipeg isn't too enticing.

Other than those 3 I probably wouldn't be against any other city.

It’s the NHL.. can’t tell me anyone on CP wouldn’t jump at the chance if they love playing hockey. You’re still making minimum $600k/yr.

I would not play for the Edmonton Oilers for any money.

Fair enough. But my list would be for my reasons and yours for your reasons.

Anywhere where they have had little to no success.

Buffalo and Edmonton.

I've lived in AZ, would be fine there.
