With Treliving scouting two BUF games, wouldn't be surprised to see Chad Johnson back in the fold in short order.

I think they're waiving him to get some games in down in stockton, hoping he'll find his groove. It's gotta be tough for a goalie who's struggling to not get into games often enough to try to re-establish things.

Hopefully we call up rather than trade.

Yeah I may have jumped the gun in assuming Lack will find his way out of the organization in some way shape or form based on today's news. Still, I hope that this is the plan. Move him out and move everyone up.

I didn't even give a thought to a stint in the AHL to help his game, so ya that may be it as well.

I think they'll keep Parsons in KC all season. Better for him to be playing in the ECHL than backing up in the AHL.

If Lack gets claimed or traded, I'd expect McDonald to get the call up to Stockton.

Rittichs AHL career statistics: 37 GP, 20-12-4, 2.25 GAA, .925% svs, 7 SO

pretty sweet. I think he'd deserve a chance.

Three swings and misses on Gulutzan's former guys so far (Lack, Bartkowski, Grossman). Treliving has fared better so far reaching into his past (Smith, Stone).

Lehtonen is out indefinitely due to personal issues, leaving a career AHLer being called up to back up Bishop.

I could see Dallas turning to the waiver wire for some help in net, especially since Bishop is having an "Elliott"-like season so far.

How is it amazing? Literally every team has had hits and misses on new players brought in, every single season for the past 100 years of the NHL's existence. In the end, it's up to the player to perform. Every single company in existence hires people that look good in interviews, then don't perform as well when it comes time to work.

IMO it's not the Flames management that should be blamed for Lack's play (which I didn't think was that bad, but obviously they know more behind the scenes).

Rittich has been fantastic in Stockton and earned a look, I'm not sure of his contract status but I can't see being back next season if they sign another sieve backup without giving him a solid look.

Lack clears and paves the way for this deal:

To Buffalo
-Bennett
-Brouwer (25% retained)
-Lack (sent to AHL to condition)

To Calgary
-Johnson
-Kane (extended 5.5x5)

Totally Random, probably not fair, but I felt like typing something out.

I wonder if this will be more of a conditioning stint down in the minors for Lack and they'll bring him up later on in the season when he's ready?
