so true...when I lived in Asia any time my wife and I came back bronzed from a beach we were always questioned about why we let the sun burn us...we werent burned. They simply do not allow themselves to be in the sun at all. Every pool has regulations that hats must be worn or you will be booted out and bathing suits are more like full wet suits.
