That was a frustrating game is one of a couple where we deserved to win despite the score. Since we've won a few we deserved to lose, it's evening up, but the Flames have played well several games in a row now.
First game thread I've been in in a while and a group of five of the same posters calgaryblood'ing it right up at spam rate.
Just awful.
Really don't understand why about 20% of the people here even watch hockey when all they do is dwell and fixate on the negative.
Outside of a couple break-downs and a way-better-than-he-actually-is game from Markstrom this was the fourth solid game in a row for the Flames.

Scoring Winger

Loved the flames offense this game. Crazy amount of high quality scoring chances. Canucks and Markstrom absolutely stole this game. Johnny looked fantastic.. disallowed goal. Bad results for a pure domination game.
Not going to read the rest of the post game. Unreal amounts of negativity.
*edit* actually the first page of this has been extremely reasonable. Much better then the game thread

Pleasantly surprised with most of the comments in here so far. The Flames were good tonight. Just one of those games.
If they play like that all year we will be in good shape.

Scoring Winger

Good entertainment value game. Younger guys are breaking out. Johnny flying, wish he'd shoot more but can't be too hard on a top 10 points guy. Mony and Ferly looked great. Janko line had some flashes of brilliance, other flashes of dread. Not sure I understand why Bartkowski gets so much ice. Lazar really needs a goal or a point or a fight or anything.

Is it just me or are turnovers Calgary's signature menu item?

Brodie is the goat in this one for me, that weak shortie against turned the tides in the Canucks favour.

Thought the flames played a great game, play like that all the time and they'll win a lot more than they lose.

This is why you don't complain when Smith steals one

Flames dominated 40 but couldn't put the game away.
Flames made a few insanely boneheaded plays that ended up in the net, if not for that this is a 3-0 game.
Markstrom was god mode, Smith was human for once.
Stuff happens. Most other teams this is a "who cares" game. Losing to the Canucks is never fun.
At the risk of angering the "they will figure this out, leave Britney GG alone" posters, I would love to hear the defense for continuing to play Bart and the bottom lines that often that late in the game. Oh well my feelings on him are well known.

Ugh. So many good chances. Once again secondary scoring would be nice!

Yeah, Smith hasn't been good lately. Nine goals in two games won't cut it. Let's hope Lack hasn't forgotten to play goal because he will obviously be needed throughout the year.

To be quiet honest - what have the Flames done since 89? It seems like an Oiler thing to do by posting the 0 cups thing.

Bennett needs to sit a game. That line looked good in spite of him. Can't make a pass, thinks he can skate through the D every time. Makes dumb decision after dumb decision.
Flames outplayed the Canucks bad but also lost that game themselves with some terrible turnovers and boneheaded plays.

Well, that's what happens when you don't waive Bartkowski. Even Dim Jim waived this clown.
Nobody is on a ledge. It's such an easy fix for this idiocy, yet it happened again tonight.
Contending teams don't have these junkers on their roster. It's the easiest decision to make yet he keeps seeing ice time somehow.
Anyone in Flames management, please read.
