Then you should want Lack to start on Thursday.
If smith plays tonight and sits Thursday, with the next game after that not until next Monday, then Smith will have five full days off and not play for six nights. That's how you get your workhorse net-minder to recover from any ailments or to not run him to the ground.
Bennett (and Ferkland and Backlund) always seem to play well against Vancouver. He played well in the last game and looks like he's close. Hopefully, Sam can get off the shneid tonight. Once he does I wouldn't be surprised to see him really get going.
I sure hope not. The reason he has played so much already has a lot to do with the Flames weird schedule with lots of breaks between games. I would imagine that once the dates start to bunch together Lack will see more regular action. Playing a starting goalie in +65 games is NOT a recipe for success for any team.
Nashville last year a great example of this, particularly with an older #1.
Saros solid play (Preds got 23 points in his 21 starts) allowed Rinne to start only 61 games, the least he has started (assuming healthy) for some time. He was fantastic in the playoffs.

Still not certain that Jaromir Jagr returns to action tonight for Calgary vs Vancouver. Game time decision after pre game warmup.
I really hope Jagr plays tonight, maybe helps loosen up that 3rd line. Maybe the 3rd line should start a line brawl, maybe that will release the Bennett that we all know is in there. Just kidding, I feel like every game everyone of us is thinking "this has got to be the game where Bennett breaks out." Well, here is hoping that is true tonight. If that line gets going, this team will be really hard to contain when it comes to offense.
