Yep, I went with a comfort band type of ring. It still took a long time to get used to

Anyone know if you can get tungsten polished/cleaned/buffed? It's a brushed finish.
I was told that tungsten doesn't tarnish, yet lo and behold it's tarnished. Indestructible as hell, but it looks old and gross now.

I never wear my wedding ring. I don't wear any watches or rings or chains etc. Bling is stupid.

same, haven't worn my wedding ring for about 15 of the about 17 years, I've been married.
I am tempted to get a thin golf GPS watch thing, but not sure if I can handle it since I've had no wearable bling in a long time.

Your wedding ring isnt bling, its the symbol of a commitment.
I find the anti-ring group strange. I never wore a ring in my entire life until I got married. I made a choice so now I wear it.

How is a simple wedding band and a classy watch bling?

I don't like wearing rings, so I should go through life feeling uncomfortable, just because I'm married?
anyways, I lost mine twice, so my wife was OK with putting it in a box.

Still doesn't change the fact that it should be permanent.

well, a ring isn't going to dictate that. I've been married, ringless, a lot longer than a lot of, ringed, people I know.

I don't even know what that means. Should? under what circumstances? When should it not?
Of course couples have the best intentions when they get married but people change, life changes. Expecting that everyone is going to change together is silly, IMO. I also hate that passive aggressive and condescending judgment on people that decide they are better off apart then maintaining some facade marriage. I'd take happy and divorced over miserable and married any day.

According to every wife, everywhere, the answer is Yes. And I'm not just referring to wearing a wedding ring!

The expectation of a marriage being life long is quite naive. I'm sure two honest people getting married could come up with a realistic list of conditions on which a marriage wouldn't be permenant.

Also with divorce rates trending above 50% now, let's be realistic about how permanent it really is for the majority of the married population.

Except they're not. Rates are actually declining.
