If Price stays healthy the Habs will compete for the division title.

It's not like it's a bad deal or anything. It's just that they need someone other than Pacioretty to score some goals. And yeah, that blue line is... unfortunate.

Do you know what the deal is? Has it been posted somewhere?

Hemsky....the Poor Man's Radulov.

Really though, I dont get this from Bergevin, he made it sound like Radulov was asking for the moon, but really, Radulov went from $5.75 to $6.25.

So he wanted an extra $500K and the Habs couldnt find it?

Seems like a bad move.

I don't think Montreal wants Galy at centre. Montreal will have a hard time competing this year.

But who knows. Price is a world class goalie.

Habs really need to go all in on an offer sheet for Draisatl. What is the down side for them? I don't really see one.

Oh....I dont think they have the money for that. If they cant afford Radulov at $6.25 I dont see how they could afford Draisaitl at an offer hed accept.

It's been reported they made the exact same offer to Radulov that Dallas did days before he accepted this deal. They have the money.

In fact, they have $14 million before re-signing Galchenyuk for what I would assume would be $3-5 million. That leaves anywhere from $9-11 million leftover to sign Draisaitl to an RFA sheet.
