The Ducks. If we lose, I'm used to it. If we win, how sweet it would be.

Chicago. Flames have won in Chicago and I think they could matchup well with all teams in the central and come out of that division to play the western conference finals against Nashville who will win out in the Pacific as the first wildcard team.

Wonder if time zone is a factor. Likely not I guess. Would be interesting to get the coaching staff's view.

Ducks... because revenge is sweet and I feel the Honda curse is coming to an end, and oddly enough I want that to happen before the 2017/18 season. Save the Hawks for later, may meet them anyway if we make it that far.

Chicago. I just think the Flames match up better against them, and they play kind of a similar style. It would be a hell of a series and we could potentially push it to 7 games.
Also, the d-bag factor is significantly less with the Hawks. And if we end up losing, oh well. We lost to arguably the best team in the NHL.

I would prefer the Ducks.
As Glen Gulutzan has said "what stands in the way, becomes the way"!

I want to see a series decided by skill and not garbage hockey.
Bring on the Hawks!

Definitely prefer the Hawks.
I find Anaheim - leaving aside the fact they seem to have the Flames' number - are just an ugly team to watch. The games just tend to be visually unappealing, as opposed to Chicago which is a much more entertaining matchup IMO.

Ducks or Chicago
Each team is tough in it's own way. Ducks have a depleted D, Gibson has had injury trouble and Perry looks to be nursing some injuries. We "may" match up better against Chicago and won't have to think about the recent Ducks animosity but the Hawks have scored 27 more goals than Anaheim and are +36 to the Ducks +18.
No matter who we play we'll need to play our absolute best hockey.

I prefer the Ducks. They are ripe for the taking. Not intimidated by them at all.

Anaheim easily their defense is injured and they just lost their best player for the series. Just because we beat chicago in the reg season doesnt mean we can do #### against them in the playoffs they are twice as good as the ducks. People are starting to sound like Oilers fans using the regular season wins as an argument

Flames and Ducks have the same number of wins, and the only difference in points is down to the fact they have pushed 9 (!) more of their losses into extra time than the Flames have.
We were even on points with them (might even have been ahead briefly) just a couple weeks ago.
Chicago meanwhile has been well ahead of us in wins and points all season long.
The last two games have shown the Flames can play with the Ducks (not to mention we drubbed them earlier this season).
The Flames can beat them but we have to play our game, not their game and that's the challenge. Flames get away from their game when things get greasy and that needs to be corrected. It would help if the refs helped cut out the hacking and whacking by calling penalties appropriately.

Both options suck, but Chicago easily. Ducks games are just the worst. I'd rather be entertained by fast hockey than watch a whole series of the Ducks being the Ducks. And that Anaheim mental block is clearly still in play. Let's just avoid that whole thing

I hope flames end up in 2nd wc spot and face the hawks. The oilers win division to face Nashville and not the sharks.
Not saying I thinks flames win, I think it would be impressive if they take any first round matchup past 5 games. Just that I could stand watching flames losing to hawks more so than oilers or ducks.

I really want to be excited about this, I mean it's playoffs, but I've lost all faith in NHL officiating especially when it comes to the Flames.
Either one of these teams will be a massive challenge to beat in a best of 7, and pretty much impossible with the inequality of officiating we've seen the last season and a half towards us.

Either or. Its playoffs, and will be fun regardless.
Against the blackhawks it will be run and gun hockey which suits Gaudreau/Monahan. Against the ducks it will be a physical brand which will suit our gritty players.
