It's just a pinky, hack off what's left of the tip and play on.

Sid the kid had a nice little between the legs slash on O'Reilly the other night as well. Dropped him like a sack of bricks. Nobody bats an eye.

Must have caught his finger against the stick for that to happen. Ouch.

Yup, I'm actually surprised Methot didn't hammer him with the other hand.

Tkachuk does that people would be calling for a 10 game suspension

He is obviously a serial slasher, fingers, private parts, goalies gloves, the only thing is if by some crazy chance he did get a suspension, it might allow mcDiver to win the scoring race.

I'm curious how many of these it's going to take before the NHL decides to crack down on slashing.

This one looked particularly bad.

Crosby really is a dirty player. I agree in that the slash itself wasn't 'horrible', but this is exactly what can happen when you slash someone on the hands. NHL really needs to start addressing stickwork a bit better and more CONSISTENTLY. Slashing on the hands should be an automatic 2 minute penalty. Players will adjust.

Funny thing is that the NHL automatically gives a 2 minute penalty for slashing a stick and breaking it, but breaking Methot's finger results in nothing. That's not even the sad thing. The sad thing is that nobody is surprised.

He averages 20 minutes per night for the Senators so that's a big loss. It's going to be really interesting to see how the NHL handles this.

Slashing is in the !@#$ing rule book. It's a penalty, and it led to a long-term injury. Crosby should be suspended for this.

Still a BS slash that shouldnt be in the game. Refs have to call that 10 times out of 10. A guy gets a face wash and it's a roughing penalty and another guy gets his finger slashed off and it's business as usual. OK.

It was a penalty when Staal broke Gaudreau's finger and he didn't even have a hearing (or give a penalty) they certainly ain't gonna give Sid squat. The NHL cares about broken sticks not broken bones.

Crosby needs to be suspended for that. Come on, NHL, get off your butt and do something about this crap.

If even a remote part of this was true Gaudreau wouldnt be in the NHL anymore as he would have no fingers left.

I know you make stupid post but this takes the cake. Gaudreau gets hacked and he had a factor but never smashed in and almost hacked off.

" It wasn't that bad " #### off.
