You know that kids that skates with the Flames when they come out on the ice and stands with them during the anthem? Don't they usually pop the kids name on TV and show him/her?
It was my nephew today. Super proud moment and I was hoping to see him, but all it showed was him leading them onto the ice.
I thought they normally showed the name, but maybe I'm confusing that for an in house announcement?

They don't. I know because my kid's friend was on a couple years ago. But you can sometimes hear the name being announced.

They have got to fire this "George Canyon" guy. Goddamn he is bad. At least he plays it straight when singing the song and doesn't pretend he's on American Idol, but that bull$hit "western" accent is just too annoying. I wouldn't go to the Maritimes (or Pittsburgh, or Texas or whereever) and use what I thought was "their" accent to sing the song.
No news or original thought here, I know that, but I don't think it hurts to point out that he sucks.
