So the league lets every player hack him like crazy and doesn't call anything but then is shocked when he embellishes because no one is doing a ####ing thing about him being hacked?
Cool beans.

Let's be honest here and take the Flames goggles off. Gaudreau has been diving all year. Is it because of frustration with the no calls, probably. Did taking that approach instead of fighting through it make things worse than is already was, i'd say so. Warrener has been calling him out for diving all year on the Fan 960.

He fell to his knees for absolutely no reason, seemed like an embellishment to me. I mean there are dozens (hundreds?) or worse examples that don't get penalties, but I do agree that he embellished that.
It was a high-stick. I distinctly remember Johnny complaining about being high-sticked. Probably didn't need to fall, but honestly I don't really blame him as these are the same biased officlals who allowed Minnesota to break his finger and deliberately messed up a penalty shot call a couple games ago.
I do think Johnny embellishes. I don't like it, but I see why he does it.
I guess it's a bit of a chicken and egg thing though; did he start embellishing/whining because he wasn't getting the calls, or is he not getting the calls because he's known for embellishing/whining?
I didn't think he was really embellishing in this case though...I though the call on Ho-Sang, and the call on Johnny were both incredibly weak. Not sure why the ref didn't just let the play go like 1000 other similar plays that are looked past every season.

I don't think he dives. I think he b*tches too much to the refs.
He'll play through a play where he's hacked and slashed but when he's eventually taken down or whatever he throws a fit like a child. That needs to stop and I'm assuming it will has he gets older.
A lot of these young superstars have never had anything go against them in their entire lives including reffing until they make it to the big leagues. Little bit of entitlement probably.
