It also seems like Hamilton will be back maybe even for the next game. So the pairing s will be exactly the same as before Stone, except probably Bart instead of Kulak. I'm good with that.

^ nope. Full on Wideman exorcism needed. Cast him to into the abyss never to be heard from again. No coincidence we go 8 straight once he gets to ride the pine.
This team has turned a new leaf and it's the post-wideman Era.

As much as I hate this situation, I think we'll survive with Wideman on the 3rd pairing for a few games. He's bad, but as long as they limit his minutes, he'll be less bad.

Well, and I'm not always right on these sort of things, as far as I understand after the trade deadline we should be good, we cna replace them with anyone from Stockton.

Assuming Hamilton is back next game:
Giordano - Hamilton
Brodie - Engelland
Bartkowski - Wideman
Kulak and then Wotherspoon should be next in line, if Kostka is not NHL-quality (I have no clue about him).
As much as some people hate Wideman, he should be good there. He is without question better than Kulak and Wotherspoon, and as much as I love Andersson adn Kylington, those guys are not quite ready yet.

Agree with all of it.
Don't know anything about Kostka, other than that he can skate, and he is RH.
If Dougie and Stone can't go:
Gio-Brodie (Because you have to)
Bartkowski-Engelland
Kulak-Wideman

If one is out, keep the other pairing intact and put Engelland in the spot of the injured guy. Have Wideman and Bartkowski together on the third pair and play them a very sheltered 7-8 minutes in the game.
If both are out, that would not be fun.
If it was up to me, I'd bring up Andersson and put him with Brodie. Have Engelland partner with Gio, and put Wideman with Bartkowski, again, sheltering them heavily.

Anyone but Wideman. He sucks so bad, anyone on the farm is better at this point.

I would rather have anyone than Wideman in:
Gio-Brodie
Bartkowski-Engelland
Kulak-Andersson
I also like the synergy Bartkowski and Engelland have, I don't think you can break that up if you want the best bandaid solution at 3/4.

Nah
He is good where he has been during our 8 game winning streak. Far far away

I do not want Wideman anywhere near this team. We are just plain better with him sitting in the press box. I'd rather dress anyone on the farm than him.

Assuming they are both out (which I think is pretty much guaranteed for tomorrow), you put Giordano and Brodie together and play them 25+ minutes. Then probably Engelland - Bartkowsky and Kulak - Wideman (for 12 minutes)
That wouldn't be too much of a problem for a few games. Any longer though, and they'll get exposed.
If we're talking extended time off for both, we're looking at settling for a wild card birth

I feel bad for wideman. I can just see him coming in next game and if we lose the game even if it's not his fault he's going to get blamed.

Worth remembering that the team was already turning it around after the previous Montreal game, and went 5-1-2 before Stone replaced Wideman. Wideman played 20 minutes per night too.
Yes they've been better with Stone, but Wideman didn't exactly sink the team. As injury replacement we could do a lot worse.

Oh, it would be his fault. Even if it wasnt his fault it would be his fault.
It is the way of the Wideman.

i agree with this...
Gio and Brodie have played with each other... Bart and Engelland are playing with one another...
so two solid pairings who can play the big minutes and the third would be sheltered...
obviously, this isn't ideal long term, but short term say 2-3 games before Hamilton comes back, this would be my preference.
