Anaheim in Round 3.
That's an impossible path cuz the playoffs don't work that way but carry on with those dreams bro

We've seen Ferland in Ferkland mode
We've seen Bennett in "Eighteen year old" mode
We've seen Englland in "only two of you?" mode
Have to assume Tkachuk will be a beast
Hopefully we see Brouwer in "don't worry it was only the regular season" mode
We've seen Frolik, Brouwer and Versteeg in cup winning mode

A playoff series could be a lot of fun

Anyone in the Pacific. Let the Central mash each other up before dealing with them.

Why on Earth would anyone want to play San Jose?

Bring on the Oilers. Like drewtastic said, revenge is a dish best served playoffs. I would love for the Flames to be the team that puts an end to their best season in over a decade.

Please no to the Sharks or Ducks. I'd rather play the Hawks or Wild. Even though those are better teams, I think Calgary matches up against them better

Flames have a good record against the Sharks, and Pittsburgh showed last year that you can completely neutralize that team with speed. And Calgary has plenty of speed.

I am ok with San Jose. We've played well in their barn. They had a great run last year, but have historically crapped the bed playoff time. It will be tough, but none of the matchups will be easy.

Anaheim.

To be Cup champions, we need to learn how to beat teams we struggle with. Take the Ducks head on in the first round. In a 7 game series, I believe we'd prevail.

Beating the Oilers would certainly negate that season series sweep ... so lets do that.

San Jose or the Wild.

Like the Canucks a couple of years ago I'm confident the Flames could beat the Oilers and that would be oh so sweet but if by chance they did end up losing that would be disgusting.

The struggles in Anaheim make me want to avoid the Ducks.

I want the Ducks. Let's finish what we started in 2015 except this time with Giordano, Hamilton, and Stone instead of Russell, Wideman, and Engelland.

If the refs are going to call the game fair then bring on the Oilers, if not, I'd rather other teams deal with the McDavid factor.

I want to see the St. Louis Blues because it means that we likely have won the division.

Order of preference

Minnesota
Edmonton
San Jose
Anaheim

The rest are extremely unlikely.

Don't really care to be honest. I think the Flames are capable of beating any of the prospective teams four out of seven games. Really... the only team we didn't look good against at some point during the season was Edmonton and unless the Refs decide to not put the whistle away this year they should be easier to deal with in the post-season since that'll make McDavid easier to contain.

While I'm not ready to declare a playoff birth for the Flames, its looking likely. There is a lot of work to still put in.

Even the Oilers aren't guaranteed to make the playoffs yet.

A Flames-Oilers first round match up would be epic. It would create a buzz in this Province and become the top news every day. Those 80's playoff games between the Flames and Oilers are part of the reason I'm an NHL fan today.

We could use and deserve a distraction from: The economy, USA politics, Canada politics, Alberta politics, Calgary politics, pipelines, oil prices, murder trials, police transgressions, cold weather, and so many other things.

It would be thoroughly exciting.

Bring on the Oilers.
