It was a technically correct call. But he sure didn't hit him very hard.

Pretty weak call against the Flames there. Let's see if they call that kind of a crosscheck against the Pens. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Kill it off, guys.

Watching on my phone but that call looked ridiculous.

You know it was the start of the game and Crosby and Wideman were out there to start right? Not sure what your point is here?

My point is that Wideman started first, and Pittsburgh gets to decide to match Crosby against him. You acted like GG was putting Wideman on Crosby. It's the opposite.

I think Ferland just hurt Letang.

Watching the Pittsburgh feed, and these announcers are ridiculous homers.

Looked like brittle bones Letang was shaken up by that Ferland hit

This game is going well so far.

I agree with AC -- Letang looks hurt again. Man, he's made of glass.

Ok, your reaching here. GG started the Backlund line to counter Crosby because it was pretty obvious Sid was starting the game. He started Wideman/Brodie against Crosby.

Ok, the last one doesn't apply, but the point stands.

To be fair, it looked like a massive hit. Ferly got all of Letang there against the glass, no escape.

Brodie saved Wideman there. Was a pylon on that play.

Sid doesn't always start. Pittsburgh gets last choice even on starting lineups.

Anyway, so far Wideman has made two nice plays against Crosby. Let's not criticize him until he actually makes a mistake.

Flames PP now 7th in the NHL. That's impressive, especially considering where it was early in the year.

Brower has definitely added a new dynamic to that top line that's been missing for the first half.
