This is pretty good. I might sub Hasek for Lemieux, or even Lidstrom... Igor Larionov's up there as well. That whole mid-90's Red Wings squad was ludicrous.

1. Lanny MacDonald, the reason I am a Flames fan

True story: My Grandpa grew up with Gordie Howe. I had supper with Gordie Howe when I was 5 at my Grandparents, the Flames would win the Cup the next year. First thing I asked him was if he knew Lanny McDonald. He told me yes, then I told him he was really lucky and I spent the night telling him how great Lanny McDonald was. I am told that he took it in good spirits, but I was definitely annoying him to the point they had to tell me to leave him alone. Fast forward about two years, there was to be one of those charity alumni suppers in town and my Grandpa (going as a guest of Gordie) took a picture of me in my Lanny jersey to see if he would have a chance to get it signed by him. But my Grandpa was a bit sheepish to go up and bother Lanny, Gordie caught wind of this and grabbed the picture of me off the table, stormed over to Lanny and said "Here sign this!" Lanny was kind of taken aback my Grandpa said, but he signed it. Then I don't know the exact words Lanny said back but it was something like why do you want it signed so bad or why do you have that picture and Gordie responded with "Cause I'm lucky I guess." then gave the photo to my Grandpa and then walked away. Lol. My Grandpa said Lanny was so confused but still started laughing. Still got the picture.

That is a great story.

1. Theo Fleury, no question.
2. Al Macinnis, his shot was legendary and I couldn't get enough of it.
3. Bill Ranford, screw these arbitrary rules... he was/is the best reflex goalie I've ever seen. No one was more entertaining to watch. This coming from a Flames fan.
