There hasn't been much to cheer about this year as an Avs fan, but this hit was pretty nice...

God the NHL is so stupid sometimes. Charging and 5 for fighting for Zadorov on that play?

It was clearly neither of those things. Even if his shoulder did get a bit of Scheifele's head, he didn't target at all and didn't appear to drop his gloves when he got jumped from behind by Trouba.

Looked like a pretty good hit to me.

Good clean hit. Avs should have been on the PP after that.

I had to look up if that was true. Seems low even for an aging Iginla on a horrible team.

This will be his lowest goal scoring season ever. He has only failed to score 20 goals twice:

1997/98 - His second season and the worst in Flames history.
2012/13 - Lockout shortened season where he did reach 20 if prorated over 82 games.

For context, 44 year old Jager has 29 points on the season.

Enough about Jarome, can we get the Colborne scoring update/points snake?

Anders Lee is one of the best players in front of the net I've seen in a long time. Big body, always in there blocking the goaltender's view and redirecting pucks. Very average player in most of the other categories, but killer in that aspect.

Chicago-Dallas is still scoreless late in the first period.

Okposo has the lone goal so far, 1-0 Sabres late in the second period.

The stinkin' Leafs lead 3-1 as they scored two goals in 38 seconds.

5 minute majors should be subject to review if they're going to keep making terrible calls like this.

If you can review a goal for being a hair off side I don't see why you shouldn't be able to review a major penalty that could change the game completely.

It's such a stupid rule that players aren't allowed to take off their visors before a fight.
