I know this is an optimism thread, but observing Elliott, it's really hard to like his body language during a game. Others have observed too, but he seems to get rattled easily. The best goalies usually seem unflappable.

Brian Elliott's performances make it very difficult optimistic about him. I don't think there's a goaltender in this league with a worse glove hand then Elliott. Just when you think he's going to turn it around he gives up another stinker. I re-watched Kreider's goal multiple times and it wasn't tipped. It was a clean shot that he himself knew he had to have. I didn't like his game in New Jersey either and I thought the team saved him.

But tonight he wasn't good enough anyway you slice it even with the lucky disallowed buzzer beater. I just don't see him ever climbing out of the basement in league save%. This team needs a goaltender badly if we want to be in the playoffs this season.

Yeah, he had a bad game in NJ as well in my opinion. That second goal they scored to tie it up was terrible. Koodos to the team for continuing to fight on Friday and today after it happened. Prior to that, they seemed to fold as soon as Elliott's routine softy went in.

Please check back next week. And each week thereafter until the season is concluded.

Back on topic, Brian Elliott sucks. Arguably should have had goal 4 back...Goal 3 was horrific.

Good spelling makes us all better.

There are two kinds of people who use computers: those who know that spelling matters… and passengers.

Jony Goodrow, Marc Jeeordano, Yeerky Yokeypacka, Mat Kachuck, Mickel Backland, Shawn Monohen and Meekel Frolick all agree.

You all know who I'm talking about.

He still gives up one muffin per game like clockwork. We are simply not a good enough team to be able to accommodate that.

If he stops all the shots hes expected to stop then we're fine for now until this team wants to be a true contender, but we're not in the position to be able to spot Brian a goal a game.
