Flames deserve to be humiliated with that stat... Huge fail by the entire organization...

should have been booed off the ice imo

It's fine to be upset after this, lord knows I am. But in dissecting this, best to focus on what actually happened. Lots of tantrum emotional garbage in the game thread.

Truth is, the Flames played hard tonight, came out with energy, and controlled more of the play, from shots and blocked shots.

What needs to be answered is from that;

- why so few quality chances from all that possession
- why the ratio of quality chances for the Oil on their limited possession.
- And frankly, Johnson was also junk.

Flames need to bury their chances (they had plenty of them)

They also need a save from time to time especially early

honestly I didn't think the Oilers were that great...Flamed handed them the game

So I inherited our Flames season tickets from my dear dad who got us kids season tix in the Corral day one when the ream moved from Atlanta. And I gotta say I think this year could be our last. I give up.

I hope that Ken King and Brian Burke are seething in a back room somewhere. Not only do the Oilers have a big, shiny new rink, good concerts, and special events but they're dominating us on the ice. Gulutzan is not the guy. I feel like that has become obvious.

Alright, bad loss to the Oilers means they're going to be EXTRA hungry and refocused on Monday for the Leafs right

... right

... right?

I have my ticket bought

... right?

Should I be looking for someone to drown my sorrows with on Monday in section 320?

I'd like to see Jankowski with Gaudreau. And no he wouldn't get ruined by bringing him up for a few games. He is a high IQ center and I'm tired of watching Bennett turn over the puck by waiting for 2 or 3 guys to converge on him. Bennett is a winger and plays that position well. Also I really liked Chaisson on the 4th line with Ferland earlier in the season but there is no way he should be anywhere near High IQ players.

I believe 31 years was the last time the Flames lost 4 straight to the Oilers. I bet it's longer since they've been swept (if they ever even got swept).

I don't actually think they generated much quality from their shots. It's not the burring that's the issue, it's the fact that they are perimeter shots with no traffic.

Oilers are a better team than Calgary . Most of you will deny this fact but the truth hurts. Far better coaching and better goaltending. We've laughed at the Oilers for years and now they're laughing at us. To walk into our building and embarrass us like that just proves that fact.

I buy tickets for that game every year. But glad I cheaped out this year. Leafs are gonna kill this team.
