The city of Pomminville has increased by one as he scored, 3-2 Wild midway through the third period.

The Canucks get a point as it is 1-1 heading into overtime. The Wild are hanging on to a 3-2 lead.

Minnesota hangs on for the 3-2 regulation win.

It is scoreless in the Blues-Ducks game late in the first period.

Finish strong, NJ.
It is all on the Flames that they lost to the Devils.

Vancouver "OTL" Canucks.

That team was the Kings last year.

I think the system should be a point still for the SO loss, because it's technically not really a loss, and 0 points for an OTL. Provides less incentive to sit on a tie game, and instead push to get the tie breaker. Too many crappy teams that have won just over 1/3 of their games but are in the race because of hanging on past regulation. Toronto and Dallas are bad for this too.

Actually it provides incentive to just turtle the entire OT to get the guaranteed point.

Maybe. But that can backfire on those teams, because with all that open ice it's still dangerous. A lot less shootouts since 3 on 3 was brought in. Might be a few more, but at least the teams that continue to turtle into OT and pay for it don't get rewarded, and that's the important thing.

Patrick Berglund scored both of the Blues' goals which included the winning goal just 51 seconds into overtime, 2-1 St. Louis.

The theme of the OOT is about streaks. The Capitals are now on a 9 game winning streak. That was a quick outburst of goals, 4 of them in 5 minutes. The Wild have now beaten the Bhawks 6 times in a row and the Wild are 17-1-1 in their past 19 games. The Blues had a 10 game losing streak against the Ducks in Anaheim, the Blues put that one to an end. The Devils-Canucks game, don't know about any streaks but glad the Devils beat them.
