You guys remember when St. Louis threw a tantrum because he wasn't good enough to be on the Olympic team and then his GM caved and he got on there anyway?
Too bad. Waste of a gold medal putting it around that whiner's neck.

the real heroes here are the Lightning, who are still retiring his jersey after he pouted because of that Olympics nonsense and completely forced their hand. People complained about the way Iginla left, but that was tame stuff in comparison to how St. Louis #### on them. So, in that regard, hats off to the Lightning for not being petty about it.

Signed as free agent in Tampa (Calgary got nothing). He then went on to be Tampa Bay's leading point getter, assist leader, GWG leader.

If the 68 in your user name represents your birth year, you are still far too young to be railing on with nonsensical self validation comments like Don Cherry on Coaches Corner. Please age 20 more years then re-commence.

It's amazing they haven't hired you as GM yet.

Put yourself in his position. His whole life he's had to overcome being too small. And team Canada for some reason never selected him despite him being on the best players of his generation. And then when his own GM and friend leaves him off the team he's dreamed about his whole life, that would be hard to swallow. And it's not like he didn't deserve it either - he led the league in points the year before. He assumed his friend would look past his size.

St. Louis played for and won the 2004 World Cup with Team Canada, he then played in his first Olympics in 2006.

I mean if there's anyone you should second guess, it's the GM that put together the most dominant international team ever. Which you managed to sulk your way on too.
St. Louis is a bitch.

Forgot about 06. But he was left off some Canada teams despite his accolades

Come on guys, don't sully a man that was successful because you wouldn't share a beer with the man. We should just acquire all the "nice" guys in the league, we'll enjoy being last year after year. He again has to prove his doubters wrong, ridiculous as that might sound.

Ok fine. I like him now, you made so many strong points.
Is it too late to buy a St. Louis jersey?

Who cares what random losers on the internet think. Some kid called St. Louis a bitch, as if this kid is even half the man as St.Louis. Nobody on this site even comes close to measuring up to a great hockey player and only says critical things because it sadly makes them feel slightly better about their own miniscule lives

you know, people can respect a player's achievements and still dislike him at the same time. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Didn't St. Louis take a shot at the Flames in '04 after winning? Something about beating the team that gave up on him? Or am I misremembering?
