Gotta go with Engelland on defence. Has been the stabalizing force on defence. While the others have struggled at times this season Deryk has always been there to support others when they've struggled.

For the forward position i'm going with Tkachuk. Makes the team out of training camp and has been one of our most consistant forwards. It's amazing to see the things that he does at his age.

I generally agree, but how is Tkatchuk "unsung"? Maybe that's the case in comparison to Matthews and Laine, but on this forum, and when the Flames are on TV they talk about him a lot.

D would be Engelland - guy is steady back there, and for a stay at home D, not talking about them is generally a good sign
F would be Frolik - he is the 3rd guy on the best line this team has right now, one of the better lines in the league, yet focus goes to Tkachuk as a rookie and Backlund as he is pacing the team in scoring (with Gaudreau). But Frolik is a savvy player, who helps make that line tick.

Giordano, guys been a rock and no one seems to even talk about him.

Forward: Frolik. Usually the answer to this question is Backlund but people are finally giving him his due this year. Frolik get's a bit sung but not nearly to the extent he should.

Defense: No one. Everyone is getting what they deserve.

Hathaway definitely deserves some love. Almost every time I've watched him live this year he has injected the team with an entirely different level of energy. A big part of me would like to see him in the lineup every night cause I really believe he is a difference maker.

On D it's Engelland for me. Guy was top 15 in the league in +/- for a stretch earlier in the year when things weren't going so well. He's solid in the defensive zone and shows flashes when he jumps up in the rush. I enjoy having him on the team.

Honestly I have a hard time declaring anyone unsung this season. The Backlund line is the only forward group doing well and they are being recognized for it. The rest of the forwards are all underperforming, scoring goals sporadically.

On defence, I can see the arguments for Engelland, but he's doing what he's expected to do, no more, no less.
