Pacioretty scores the game winner in overtime for the second consecutive night! Great game by Montoya in net and the Canadiens win 4-3 in overtime.

Baertschi scores his 11th goal of the season (23rd point).

Anyone still laughing?

Guys like Baertschi are always available in the top 15 of the draft. Streaky, soft, and not versatile. He wasn't going to fit in on this team. I'm happy with Andersson.

Posts like this make me want Baertschi to tear it up for Vancouver. Funny how we never get assessments like this on Flame players and only on former Flame players or players of rivals.

He's got more points than a lot of Flame players and is playing great this year. He is looking pretty versatile to me.

Good luck Baertschi.

There's a difference between saying you're happy with Andersson (which would still be debatable given Calgary's dearth of scoring on the RW vs. defensive depth) and saying that the Canucks trading for Baertschi was laughable.

Beyond that, you clearly have no grasp on the history of the draft if you think that guys who can score in the NHL are always available anywhere in the draft outside of the top 3.

Sven wanted to be gifted a spot on the Flames or a trade...points aren't everything

Mason Raymond had 19 goals on a terrible team and was out of the league a couple years later. If he is ever a top six scorer on a good team I will give him more credit.

The 'Nucks have no depth, he's being thrust into that top-six role which he so dearly wanted here. The fact of the matter is, Baertschi can't thrive outside of a top-six role, and he wasn't going to get one here.

And you think that I don't hate anyone on the Flames? That's rich.

Nick Ritchie scored in the first period and the Ducks have been hanging on to that 1-0 lead since then and it is midway through the third period.

The Canucks win 3-0 and some kid is getting a wiener dog because Bo Horvat scored.

Nothing went right for the Flames on the OOT. The Ducks won 2-0 Ondrej Kase scored a late goal to secure the win. Gibson with the 23 SHUTOUT. The Canucks decide to go on a 5 game winning streak now with their 3-0 win, Miller gets the 22 save SHUTOUT. The only minor OOT help had the Habs beat the Stars in OT.

He played 13 minutes last night and has been on the third line pretty much all year and has averaged 15 minutes a game this season.

He's not being thrusted in any role, he's slowly earning it. I know it hurts for Flame fans to admit he's playing well and not just because Vancouver has no depth. They're playing a great defensive game and Baertschi is contributing on both ends of the ice.
