Love the Subban pick.

Why even have an all star game? Should just be Connor McDavid doing a few laps and shooting on an empty net for an hour

Price and Subban shows Montreal outvoted Toronto by a lot. Would have expected Matthews to win the Atlantic.

Don't rookies play in a separate game?

But think about how FAST he can do those laps! I am excited about the prospect of this, lets make it happen

Apparently. My rationale still applies as to why he's a good choice for captain though. Will make the weekend more entertaining.

The second highest goal scorer in the NHL is deserving of a grown-up All Star team nod.

This is to captain a 3-on-3 tournament, right?

People will bitch about anything.

I find it weird when a non-captain is named division captain, especially when Toews is in the same division as one of said non-captains

I'm not strung out over it though, these are perfectly fine picks. Atleast we didn't get some 4th line/AHL scrub captain this time

Think they are just in the skills comp now. But they can play in the real one too. i.e.: Gaudreau in his rookie year.

Wasn't Gaudreau an injury replacement fill-in or something like that?

Those are four pretty good captains. Nice to see Montreal fans helping Subban become Central captain instead of another Hawk winning the vote.
