He's playing in the echl so i assume montreal loaned him there so he could play at a higher level and get a better look.

There must be no Canadian goalies playing overseas...an ECHL guy as backup and a U of S Huskie as the third goalie.

Love this tournament, fun hockey to watch for those of us that can't watch the Juniors. The crowds are amazing and the atmosphere is always like no where else. Would love to go to this tournament one year, just need to convince the boss (wife).

2-1 Canada. The red and white are finding some chemistry.
Edit: 3-1 Scrivens got lit up

Fun fact, The Spengler Cup was founded in 1923. That makes it 93 years old. They call it the oldest invitation hockey tournament in the world.

Minsk up 7-4 over Canada. Drew MacIntyre, Canada's goalie has had a very poor game.
Chris DiDomenico is off to another good tournement. Their Next game will be against the host Davos. Should be a big challenge for the reigning champs.

I spent 6 days in the Davos-Klosters area. Both towns are stunning. Davos has some really cool architecture. The area is very similar to Banff I found, just in feel and scenery.
The arena there is really cool. Switzerland is expensive, but if you're doing the Euro-trek thing and it's on your way, stopping there for a few nights is worth it IMO.

I remember that tournament too. No idea what happened to it.
More than slightly OT, but when it comes to international hockey I have such fond memories of the games Red Army and Dynamo would play against NHL teams during the season. Maybe it was my age at the time, but I found those games to be tremendously meaningful.

Still going, just with a different name and without Canada being invited:

Best hockey games/tournament I've ever been to other than the 2010 Olympics. The fans have energy you will not find at an NHL game and the beer is flowing throughout. After the games everyone goes to the fan zone to dance on the tables and crush Jaeger. I would go back every year if I could afford it.

Canada wins their quarter final game. Will be playing Minsk in one semi-final tomorrow. Which is the team they lost to in their first game.
