Hopefully this will get Elliott going. That second goal was just terrible, no two ways about it. But I thought he looked very solid in stretches. Maybe finally getting back in there and getting a W will do wonders for his game.

I just love that we have a teenager in Tkachuk who can play like a veteran already. He's a beauty.

Hopefully McGinn gets a game or two off, nasty elbow. And he complained about the penalty, which really irked me.

Game ends and first thing we see is a McDavid breakaway from 5 games ago. Sweet SN.

Glad to see the Flames stop the bleeding after losing two straight. First period was ugly, but they certainly cranked up the energy in the 2nd and 3rd. Overall a pretty solid effort. I'm happy Elliott got the win, but I'd like to see Johnson back in tomorrow against the Sharks.

And how deadly is the PP right now! Gotta love it.

We've had the #1 PP over the past calendar month!

Entered tonight with a 12/39 PP over that time, and improved it to 15/45 (33.3%).

Coyotes are such a pukey team. Just a big bag of ugh. I see a lot of Vancouver in that team.

I could literally see the cameras of the future cutting back to a bewildered Doan after a PP goal when I saw him standing there with the stupidest wide eye stare down at the ref. That's a penalty all day and usually he gets a pass on those types of hits when he plays us - just ask Gio. Someone gif that 5 seconds please.

I think Elliott needed that win badly, especially after that 2nd goal, wow that was bad.

Our PP looks great and our PK was perfect, which is awesome.

Versteeg has been very valuable for the Flames and was crucial in the win tonight.

I like that Flames battled back tonight after going down 1 and then after Elliott letting in that stinker.

Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes
Two weeks ago the #Flames power play was 30th. A 3-for-6 tonight moves them up to 14th at 18.8 percent. Stunning.

Sean Monahan is first @NHLFlames player with points in 10 straight team games since K. Huselius in 2006-07 (10-11—21 in 15 GP). @EliasSports

Matthew Tkachuk has 17 points in 30 games and looks fantastic.

What a steal of a pick

Liked the response after the second goal. Loved the second period as a whole.
