Draisaitl has been 21 since game 8 of the season
Bennett may not even be 21 if we were to have a Cup parade this season
Draisaitl has 11 power play points, seven of which McDavid assisted on
Bennett has 2 power play points, playing on a PP that was cold for most of the year
Draisaitl has 13 5-on-5 points in 383.78 minutes playing 127:03 with top six forward Milan Lucic
Bennett has 13 5-on-5 points in 356.89 minutes playing 198:35 with bottom six Troy Brouwer
Draisaitl has been part of zero short handed goals in 19.78 minutes (Zero 4v5 GA)
Bennett has been part of two shorthanded goals in 35.11 minutes (One 4v5 GA)
Draisaitl is going to get paid $$$.
Bennett is already the better actual centre at both ends IMO and cheaper for us.
I don't mind Draisaitl's points at all.

I'm happy for the guy. It's not every day these types of players actually put up some numbers at their age. He's made the most out of what should've been his last chance in the league.

I am pretty sure he is currently 18 yrs old, no?

During the game on Saturday CBC commentators (can't remember who) stated he was not yet 18, but whether they are correct IDK.

I couldn't agree more. I cheer for Drasaitl to get points especially on the PP or plays involving McDavid. He is on pace for a contract similar to Gaudreau or even higher if they go the 8 year route. IMO this is what the Flames need is for guys like Drasaitl to make more money than any Flame. McDavid will too no question. It will make things hard on the Oilers if they have Drasaitl, McDavid, Nuge, Eberle, Sekera, Lucic all making 5.5 to 10+

That, IMO, is a reason to like him.
He also seems like a good guy.

he's a really nice guy. i got to hang out with him one morning a couple summers ago. he's so down to earth and just a genuinely nice guy
the neat thing is i've heard the same thing from a lot of other people i know who have also met him (so it's not i caught him on a 'good day')

Jimmy Vesey. I hate the NCAA loophole and I feel bad for the Predators. The fact that so many of the free agents from Europe or college go to the Rangers or Blackhawks pisses me off.

Boo! This is an outrage hate gear grinder thread. Take your kindness and positive feeling elsewhere, nice guy.

He definitely acts like a spoiled entitled brat. However if he played for any other team, I probably wouldn't dislike him as much. The fact that he was gifted to the Oilers as a reward for their epic failure grinds my gears more than anything.
