I don't see a spot for Bouma when he comes back. Everyone on that roster has outplayed him.

Ferland Monahan Versteeg
Gaudreau Bennett Brouwer
Hathaway Stajan Chiasson
Is how i'd like to see things tonight. My guess is they slot Gaudreau back in with Monahan though.

tkachuk - backlund - frolik
versteeg - monahan - brouwer
ferland - bennett - gaudreau
Keep Monahan playing a simple game without gaudreau. Try Johnny down the lineup on either the left or right wing and try and spread the offense and spark bennett.

I think he gets a game or two in while they shop him but yeah, tough to see a spot for him moving forward

Bernier is confirmed to start for Anaheim tonight
He's been very good this year 4-1-1 with a .933

Both Anaheim goalies are decent. Probably makes no difference either way

100% he scores tonight. He seems to score against the Flames every single game.
Hopefully getting Johnny back will lead us to a win!

You know...I wasnt overly optimistic about this game to begin with because the Ducks habitually make us their bitch but you've just sunk my pessimism to even lower depths.
Incoming Corey Perry Hat-Trick.

Monaghan hat trick. Johnny 4points. Kesler picks a fight and gets knocked out by Ferland.
Johnson with a very very good night. Like he's had 3 times this month.

Hathaway provides more grit and energy.

Man I hate the Ducks. Of all three California teams they are the one that has been the thorn in the side of this franchise. They once again did no favours to the Flames last night losing to the Oilers in a 3 point game. Would be sweet if the Flames could spank them.

Scoring Winger
|
Gaudreau - Monahan - Versteeg
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Bennet - Stajan - Chiasson
Ferland - F. Hamilton - Hathaway
I'd like to see the lines look like this tonight, hopefully now that Versteeg is comfortable with his game he can bring a bit of what Hudler brought in 2014/2015. Not saying he'll lead the NHL in 5 on 5 points like Hudler did that year but a skill game is clearly something that has benefited that line more than someone to create space. Just my opinion though.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Gaudreau Bennett Ferland line.
It has an insurance policy for John, and keeps Versteeg Monahan Brouwer together.
Besides, Monahan and Versteeg have played their best hockey with this line.
