Sure, we've had a few bad games on the road as well.
But every time I watch our road game I see better, more confident team - less turnovers, more accurate passes etc.

This is my opinion as well. The dome ice is bad and doesn't work well for our low risk, mistake avoiding system. Also not a big fan of GG's line matching this year. Hope things turn around quickly as we would be a playoff team if we were even at home (5-5) ((pre flyers game))

I bet a good 6-8 losses can be attributed to dismal PP/PK.
If only there was a person or persons we could identify as being largely responsible for special teams...

And then fire that person or persons...

It's all Dougie Hamilton's fault. I'm sure some stats can be found to back this up: road points vs. home points? Road grit vs. home grit?

I really, strongly feel that we're searching a little too hard for an answer when the home heavy October and road heavy November appear to answer the conundrum at hand.

Still, it'll take four straight home wins to be even. I think it's worth noting. Saying we were bad and now we're good doesn't really add much.

Except that it's literally the reason. We started off struggling with a new system, then after many a painful hockey game we started to get it which is how things go with new systems, and it coincided with getting more games on the road.

It'll take four straight home wins to be even because we were losing in embarrassing fashion at the Dome out of the gate. Saying we were bad and then started getting better doesn't add much no, but not much more needs to be added as it's the reason.

October 28th we were 4-4-1
4-5-1 to close out the month
They've been just as bad at times this month too. Mostly at home. And just as good in October at times mostly on the road.

Home ice is supposed to be an advantage and it is for most teams.

I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm seeing if anyone else has insight as to why our team is no good at the dome.

You know what - this. The Dome has never been quieter. You try to get a Go Flames Go chant started and I'm all alone, it feels. Can the people that pay good money to attend at least try to get behind the team we are meant to be supporting. We need to give some effort.

This team is not good, just because they started playing less not good and got a few W's does not mean they are playing good. They are not dangerous at all and their PP still sucks!

Arguably this team is actually pretty good, given how well its playing with its top 4 players looking like terrible for the first 15 games . Imagine what the record would be if Gio, Brodie, Monahan and Johnny were playing as good as last season...

If you go back to the beginning of the year, the record against bad teams (including EDM) is 2-5-1. So that explains its entire record of 3 games under 0.500. If you flip that record, this is a playoff team. And again, its without our top 4 players showing up for over 70% of those games.

Between December 19 and Jan 14, the flames play 13 games. Of those, 10 of those are against bad teams. That stretch is likely to define the flames season.
