Shine up the chrome, polish the exterior, hang an air freshener on the rear view mirror, and roll that thing off the lot. Yes please.

Fortunately, for the Flames, you are way off on your first premise.

Uh, no thanks.
Or, wait, sure, no one's untradeable. Phoenix, the price is Oliver Ekman-Larsson. For Pittsburgh, Kris Letang.
Not interested? Okay then.

Hi point was that if you're right that Dougie is not a very good d-man, then why would anyone trade a top line RW for him?

There are a lot of pieces in Phoenix that would be worth considering - but I don't see a fit with Pitt.

Treliving was at the Red Wings and Canadiens game today. Elliott Friedman says the Red Wings are looking for a top 4 defensemen. I wonder if Brad was scouting some potential players that might work in a trade for Hamilton. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

That isn't what he said. He said you could use the cap space for a right winger, not that you would trade Hamilton for it. If you and timbit are going to mock his premise, at least read the post correctly.

Probably scouting jimmy howard. Elliott has been a disappointment to say the least.

So...a free agent next summer?
If not a trade for Hamilton....how the hell else are they going to get a high end right winger.
I read the post correctly unless you can come up with a better understanding of his post.

Because "potential" same reason we signed him long term.

Love this news. I think right after Hamilton is traded people will admit what a liability he is for the Flames. I honestly think if we get a compitent dman for him we would shoot up the standings

You trade him for prospects and/or draft picks and an expiring overpaid contract and then use the cap space to either sign a UFA or trade for a RWer. Is it really that hard to grasp?
You don't have to agree with it but at least don't pretend you don't understand.
