Good to see. Good opportunity for him and hopefully he gets some solid minutes in the top 6 and produces.

Regular IR doesn't allow you to exceed the cap, so Smid would have been officially given LTI status.

I imagine it's to give Monahan/Ferland some talent on their line.
Gaudreau - Bennett - Brouwer
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Monahan - Shinkaruk
Bouma - Stajan - Hamilton
Chiasson

Would have preferred Klimchuck or Jankowski, but oh well, at least somebody new in the lineup to try and spark things

I can't imagine Chiasson sits while Bouma plays

Decent lineup you got there! I'd love to see it.

This has to be a kick in the gut for Klimchuk.
Leading the team in scoring and plus minus but overlooked in the callup

Shinkaruk has had 2 good years in the AHl and looked pretty good in the NHL after the Flames acquired him. Klimchuk has produced for a month. I'm sure he is able to understand why Shinkaruk was recalled before him.
