Can't see the Hawks not showing up to this one. I think they were embarassed to lose to us the other week. 5-1 Hawks.

If they win, I'm planning the SC parade.
If they lose, trade Wideman, Gio, Bouma, Mony, etc. Fire Burke, Treliving, Glutz, etc

Well since the Adele good juju finally wore off, I decided to burn her image in effigy today in an effort to turn around the gloomy outlook.
You could almost say that I Set Fire to the Rain.
I'll show myself out, thank you.

Hopefully they can keep their road mojo going. They've been outplayed the last two games at home -- they got the win against a third string goalie but lost in regulation against the reigning Vezina winner.
Hoping for 3 out of 4 on the road trip -- a win tonight would go a long way to achieving that.

Rumour has it you'll be back in short order. Go Flames Go and for once, can we keep Kane off the score sheet?

Any notes on lineup changes? I know a lot of us have been hoping for Gaudreau-Bennett trial.

Failed to post last game, and we lost. My bad. Rally gear is still at 3-0-0, lets bring it to 4!

Huge line shakeup at morning skate
Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
#Flames lines looked like this today:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Bennett
Chiasson-F.Hamilton-Frolik
Tkachuk-Backlund-Versteeg
Bouma-Stajan-Ferland
Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
Flames defence pairings look the same:
Giordano-Wideman
Brodie-Engelland
Jokipakka-Hamilton
Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
Brouer, Gaudreau, Monahan, and Bennett are on the PP with Brodie. Interesting look...
Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
Giordano, Hamilton, Backlund, Versteeg, and Tkachuk look like their second PP unit.
Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
#Flames using four forwards on their first power play unit at morning skate. Gaudreau playing the left point. Interesting.

I like shaking up the first line. Still not a fan of the defense pairings but I think I understand what Gulutzan is trying to do.

PP combos and D are likely what we'll see but I wouldn't read much into the line pairings for forwards. Hamilton at centre and no Brouwer but Brouwer was on the PP. Just a jumble to get a look is my guess.

Brouwer is on the PP but not any of the lines?

Is Brouwer hurt or is he scratched for tonight?

Wideman never looks pleased. Seriously. Ever. Roger needs to stop with looking for issues where there aren't any.

No Brouwer in the 4 lines but on the PP. No chance Brouwer isn't playing as he has been one of the more consistent players. Does he replace Chiasson?

Not sure I like JG on the point right now on the PP. Guy makes a lot of high risk passes and the 'hawks pk (guys like Toews) will eat his lunch if they key into it. Not worth it IMO
That said these guys need some kind of shake up. Their zone entry is awful and predictable, and even when they DO get into the zone they cough it up 9 times out of 10 and it's down the ice. Something needs to change there.

Sounds like remnants of Bob Hartley days. Some habits are hard to break it seems...
