I wouldn't say that it kicked Family Guy's ass, but it was a good episode.

On an added note, War at home premiered tonight between the Simpsons and the Family Guy, I watched it with no expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised, it had some brilliant moments.
The Simpson's was outright terrible, awful awful awful. Its time for Bart and Lisa to grow up and move out, and homer and Marge to sell the house and move to a retirement home in Florida, I cringe at the thought of a Simpsons feature length movie.
Family guy had some good moments, but the episode kinda fell flat, except for the star trek clip with the actual cast voices.
American Dad surprised the hell out of me, it was actually pretty clever tonight.

Both family guy and American dad were great and Im not a huge fan of American dad, maybe instead of ending the simpsons it should be off for a few years and come back like family guy did.
Anyways does anyone know when the family guy movie comes out on dvd?

Am I going crazy or was Patrick Stewart the voice of Stan's boss?
Just looked it up, and yes indeed it was.
That Star Trek bit in FG was hilarious. So was Stewie's rant about Lois' "romance novels" being "........for masterbatory purposes" or whatever. That was great.

I haven't been too keen on American Dad, but this weeeks was pretty good.
Best part.
Come on, I've already done everything for you except bend over backwards, and my daughter did that, so I say we count it.

Family Guy was top notch - didn't get a chance to watch the Simpsons but came home as The War at Home was starting... gee.. I dunno, I thought it was horrible. I don't see it lasting more then a month. Fox has been doing ALOT of things right lately, but this isn't one of them.
Can't wait for the House season premeire on Tuesday though!!!

Totally agreed.
I like Michael Rappaport, but I thought that show The War at Home just didn't work.
House is quickly becoming one of my can't miss shows! Hugh Laurie is fabulous!

I used to like Michael Rappaport -- he had some good roles in Beautiful Girls, Cop Land and several others, but as a main role in anything he has come up pretty lame. I don't see this show lasting very long thankfully, I hope Arrested Development or Malcolm in the Middle get moved back to Sunday Night.

House is great, and it's become a word of mouth type hit as well. I don't think it put up big numbers throughout the first year but alot of people are talking aobut it now. And ya, Hugh Laurie makes the show. I think I've only caught about 5 or 6 episodes on TV but I am planning on picking up the first season DVD set shortly. I hope Hugh gets the Emmy for his role.

I loved the part when peter is in the washing machine, with his hands up doing his laugh. (I love it when he laughs).
Did arrested development move to another day?

Patrick Stewart was amazing in both Family Guy and American Dad!

Does anybody know what was the story with the Jimmy Ng memoriam at the end of the episode? Who was he?
