He always struck me as someone who would move into management once his player days were over. Even when he was in university, he'd track the progress of other Flames prospects.

Nystrom's career was 9 seasons long. Goes to show just how long these recent 8 year contracts really are.

I also a Nystrom jersey (retro). Now that the retros are back, could theoretically get it changed to Monahan...

Good for him. He's still a relatively young man and if he doesn't have anything heavy on his plate for retirement he may as well continue to play for the love of the game.

Fav Nystrom memory was when he scored that game winner in game 4 against the Blackhawks in the playoffs for us....I think that was Keenan's first year.
