So you propose that Gaudreau sit road games? I don't care about your opiinion on my spelling of names... I really don't. Backlund and Frolik neutralize and even score again'st other teams top lines, you don't think Gaudreau could benefit from that? Interesting.

Backlund leads the team in points, has 3 minutes of PP time and 15 minutes of short handed time.
Frolik 4th in scoring despite having the same types of time played on special teams.

It doesnt make sense to put Gaudreau out there with Backlund and Frolik because they play the hardest defensive minutes and the most difficult opposition in terms of the opposing teams forwards. I'd like Gaudreau out there for offensive zone starts and not out against the other teams best forwards in the defensive zone.
Gaudreau - Bennett - Brouwer
Tkachuk - Monahan - Versteeg
Bouma - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Stajan - Chiasson
I'd like to see Gaudreau - Bennett - Brouwer. I think it would be wise to try splitting up Johnny and Sean. But putting Gaudreau with Backlund and Frolik would really hurt our offense in my opinion seeing as thats 3 of our best players on a defensive line.

Current lines aren't working so I'm all for a change. You can't try and hide Johnny - let's see if playing with Backlind gets him going. Or maybe Monahan jets going playing with Brower.

Point well taken, no insults. I agree that Monny (sorry about the spelling) and Gaudreau should be split up, at least temporarily. I more than anyone wanted to see a recreation of Toews and Kane. I'm just not seeing that right now. Monny will be a great player one day, his speed is still questionable. Brouwer with Gaudreau might be something, I don't think Bennett can handle being a #1 center right now.

Toews and Kane don't typically play together. Anisimov centres Kane.
So splitting them up is the re-creation that you seek.

Let me get this straight some posters don't want our $6.75 million per year player going up against other opponents top line? Then why are we paying him all that money if he can't do it? Maybe we should just play him on the PP.
Johnny-Backlund-Frolik , would be a great line to get Johnny going.
As for the post of hurting "Bennet's confidence" if he goes to the 4th line? If he wants to play in the top 6, then he should produce like a top 6 player. He has been the worst center and maybe the one of the worst players to start the year. He should be so lucky to be on the 4th line, instead of the pressbox or the AHL.
