Tavares scores, 2-0 Islanders. Then 32 seconds later, Fowler scores for the Ducks and it is 2-1 for the Islanders. There is about five minutes left in regulation time.

Fowler doesn't want to be traded!

So the one review doesn't go the Oilers way and now they immediately challenge for a different reason.

Scoring 4 on the oilers is like scoring 1 on any other team in the league.

Yeah it definitely bounced but only changed direction slightly. Definitely not enough to excuse that goal. It hit him and went in.

Yes they did. It kind of came out of nowhere in early August.

So the Oilers have given up 11 goals in 2.5 games, no empty netters

Klefbom coughs up the puck for no reason, leads to a 2 on 1 where Larsson crushes Gustavsson.

A classic Oiler shift.

The Oilers truly are an awful team. No 12 breakaways for you. Calgary lost those two games more than the Oilers won them.

Gustavsson pulls himself? Where was the concussion spotters on that? He shouldn't have played another second after that hit.

At least Gustavsson was smart enough to pull himself out.

The many breakaways were more of a result of the Flames D being caught up ice or in bad position than it was because of Edmonton (/McDavid) being super fast. You can deny even the fastest guys those chances if you anticipate and are in good position. The Oilers were opportunistic and good on them for taking advantage, but the Flames D can be a hell of a lot better and limit those sort of chances with a more composed game.

It wasn't an indication that the Oilers had turned some sort of corner just because they caught a completely disorganized team out of position a few times over a couple games. They're still allowing a butt-tonne of goals and aren't impressing much themselves tbqh.

I picked McDavid in my Draft kings roster to insure he'd get no points. He's literally sitting at 0 points in a pool where shots, blocked shots are also counted.

You're welcome.

Oilers be Oilering. Yeah I see us losing 4 in a row. How did we lose two games in a row to these scrubs. Reality check for Oilers fans.
