Based on the comments from Treliving on 960, doesn't sound like Kulak will be around for long.
"Plan is not to carry 8 defencemen the whole season"

If you include the bonus overage that Cap Friendly believes they have carried over from last year, that knocks it down to $8,266. Which is pretty much as close as they could hope to get to the Cap to max out Smid's LTIR space, when they decide to start using it.

Treliving: "I expected better performances at training camp" but says Jankowski was a bright spot and will be up in the NHL at some point this season. Shinkaruk is close to making the NHL too.

Agreed, sounded to me like Kulak deserves a chance, like Grossman as the Vet 7th guy that can sit in the box, but would still like to tweak somethings.
