Having Vey around the team, even if it be limited to press box and practices, lies Vey an opportunity for a few things that are of interest to management.
Those things include but are not limited to knowing the big club has confidence in him to get things back on track.
Allows players like F. Hamilton to focus on his game rather than wondering if he's gonna get sat to make more room for Bollig's expanded or larger role..
And quite frankly gets Bollig away from this team and for no other reason than getting undeserved minutes.
Players like Vey with a bit more experienced (NHL) don't necessarily develop anymore at that leve, they more maintain or decline.
Sure, kids now playing against men develop, but not necessarily younger men continue to.
I simply do not see a role on this team for Bollig unless he is going to play Sheriff. Which we know he's not going to.
