I thought Chaisson was one of the better forwards last night. Not first line material, but he played OK with Stajan.

I never thought Bollig was going anywhere.

Not sure why everyone has such high expectations for Chaisson, the dude costed us Patrick Sieloff only.

didn't watch any preseason. Was Chiasson really that bad? Really hoped he'd bounce back, too bad if it doesn't work out.

Mildly surprised Wotherspoon didn't snag a spot. Thought a new coaching staff might find something in him. Oh well. Kulak instead should do fine.

I'm actually the opposite, the new coaching staff isnt married to him for any reason so if he doesnt stand out then off he goes.

I'm with Mach, Wotherspoon seems to have been our #7D since forever.

Nah I think we still bring in Russell regardless.

Hamilton is the only bubble player left in camp who would require waivers (Chiasson and Bollig too if you consider them on the bubble, which I don't think they ever were), so it looks good for him to make the opening day roster.

IIRC wotherspoon got beat along the boards by sven baertcschi last night, resulting in a goal. No room for anyone that weak on the flames.

Has higgins been cut?

How many left in camp? Still more cuts to come, I assume. I wouldn't pencil in the PTOs just yet.

rather release Grossman and sign Nak-attack, even if it's to sit in the pressbox.

Wotherspoon had his shot, or two, and hasn't taken it. If he clears (should) then maybe next year...but I won't hold my breath.

Wotherspoon is like thousands before him. Sucks but he made it really far. A lot further than most can dream of.

Vey and Chiasson were both signed in the off-season. Also, Chiasson is historically a better NHLer than Vey. Either one would be playing 4th line minutes anyway...

I hope they keep Kulak and sit Engelland and/or Wideman most nights

Wotherspoon really blew this opportunity. I was hoping he would make it but his play was mediocre verging on bad. Kulak has passed him by and at this point I think he will have to have a great season to be the first call up ahead of Kylington.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Culkin pass Wotherspoon soon too.

I like Wotherspoon, I just don't think there's room for that type of defensive Dman anymore
