I hate the Canucks but he looks pretty good. We would be pumped to have him as a prospect.

IMO Poirier is not a bubble player. I'm pretty much ready to give up on the guy after his poor performances the past 2 years.
Klimchuk is looking more NHL ready and he's as vanilla as it gets.

Tuomo Ruutu? Is he on a PTO for them?
Man, how far he's fallen. Ten-twelve years ago he was one of the most hyped prospects in a number of years. I remember in a keeper league being offered Spezza and the #2 pick in the Ovy/Malkin draft for him and turning it down. Jeez.

Two years? Two years ago, Poirier was an AHL All-Star as a 19 year-old.

Fine, fine, a full calendar year. Though it feels like it's been much longer since I was hyped about this kid.
He's looked terrible in all 3 zones so far.

Poirier at least looked semi decent last game.
How many preseason games left after this?

looking forward to seeing Jankowski. Didn't catch the stream for his last game as I was at the dome.

kind of weird Grigoriev has not gotten any games.
Is he the only PTO at camp that hasn't played yet?

Which part of his game impressed you? I'm legitimately curious, because I couldn't point to any part of his game that was decent.
He doesn't have the speed he was known for and gave the puck away just about every single time I saw him with it.

Last game he showed a little bit of speed and tenacity. Had an assist (although Kulak did most of the work) and looked decent with Ferland.
Granted my expectations for him were super low so maybe it didn't take much for me to say oh maybe he's not that bad.

No way Tkachuk gets sent back to juniors. At least that's my hope anyways.
I so want to see a Tkachuk-Bennett-Brouwer line on opening night!

Here's my guess of the lines:
Tkachuk - Bennett - Brouwer
Shinkaruk - Jankowski - Chiasson
Klimchuck - Hamilton - Ferland
Higgins - Stajan - Hathaway
Giordano - Hamilton
Kylington - Wideman
Wotherspoon - Engelland

You think they'll be different from the practice lines posted above?

I am bummed that Higgins outworked a rookie enough to get a longer look.
Good for him.
But to the JayBouw and Iggy draft picks/magic beans; wtf guys?

So Mangiapane hasn't been cut, but he also hasn't been in the last couple of games either. What gives?

Don't get me wrong. He looked great the other night, and I too really like him as a prospect. But what I was getting at was the reaction from David Pratt this AM: He called Stetcher's first pre-season game a "statement game," a "coming out party," and on Twitter has stated that there has never been a more exciting player debut in Vancouver since Pavel Bure.
I am not making this stuff up.

I think he is destined for Stockton so might as well keep him around the team and experience the NHL routine and practices for another week or so.
