It was weird on Sunday overhearing some smart kids having a mature discussion about 9/11 and realizing none of them had been born yet, for something that still feels like yesterday.

99.9% of the players in the NHL are younger than me. Thanks Jagr.

The decline of the 2003 draft class has already begun.
What does that say about me.

Hell, Mike Richards is effectively retired now, and he was on the epic 2005 world junior team!

Flames milestones to make you feel old:
Monahan will likely hit 300 games and 200 points.
TJ Brodie and Mikael Backlund are in line to hit 400 games played.
Johnny Gaudreau was drafted five years ago.
This will be Matt Stajan's 7th full year as a Flame and Giordano's 11th.
On October 15th, the Saddledome will turn 33.

Personally, it's not just being older than EVERY player in the NHL. It's the NHL having a GM that is literally half my age!

Ha. I was alive when Max Bentley won his second Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs. I'm older than dirt.

As long as Alyssa Milano continues to attend Kings games and continues to be hot, then I'm not old yet, dammit!

Jarome Iginla is close to retirement and this upcoming season might very well be his last. I still remember listening to his very first game, Flames vs the Hawks during the playoff, as my mom forced me to do dishes in the kitchen as Peter Maher called the game.
Then I remember him being the face of the league at age 24 as he led the league in scoring in '01-'02 and thinking how is this even possible a Calgary Flames' player is doing this? He'll never get old, this will last forever!
Time flies. ####.

I'm so old I got Brad Park's autograph when he was playing, by leaning over the glass during warm up.

My first autograph was from Maurice Richard.
No, I'm not that old, he was long retired as a player.

Ha, mine was Gilbert Perreault before Mike Bossy . In Pee Wee's I had number 11, and kept it until midget. My first hockey game was a Canada Cup. It was in 1980, and my dad got us tickets at Northlands. Blue Line, 7 rows up. $25 a ticket. I still have that ticket. It was Canada vs USA
