Because of the predictable school-yard jokes about a guy having the last name Wang and that he also sells me over the calf dress socks.

I'm too fat for his shirts, but I bought my wedding ties from him. And he has cool pocket squares.

for those of you who are also wondering:
anachronistic - adjective pertaining to or containing an anachronism.
anachronism: noun 1. something or someone that is not in its correct historical or chronological time, especially a thing or person that belongs to an earlier time: The sword is an anachronism in modern warfare.
2. an error in chronology in which a person, object, event, etc., is assigned a date or period other than the correct one: To assign Michelangelo to the 14th century is an anachronism.

It is hard to buy good dress socks in Calgary unless you're prepared to pay Holt Renfrew prices for them. I usually buy a bunch of dress socks in Sacks 5th Avenue whenever I travel to US. They have excellent selection of great quality fine cotton/silk patterned socks on sale for $7-$15/pair.

Wear your first pair of really nice socks and you will become one.

How many pairs of good quality dress socks do you really need? 10ish? At $15 a pair that's $150. They last for quite a while. It's not like you have to win the lottery.

I wear ankle socks with all my nice clothes and suit wear. Why? Because it's different and others don't do it. #style

i buy mine from happy socks, H&M, or top shop. Winners sometimes has happy socks for around $5/pair.
Over the calf for the win though. I had mid calf ones cuz my legs are too big and the elastic cuts into my leg leaving an indent.

I buy most of mine at Happy Socks. I've bought some from Tie Bar, but prefer HS.

Just more gobs of money spent on stuff we don't need. HS sells socks for like 15 bucks a pair. That's just disgusting.

We have reached the point where people need to ask on message boards where to get socks....
And I have reached the point where I am reading the thread . We are doomed

Many people on here ask about where to get a certain product. I have not had luck finding socks that stay up, I hate the feeling of socks slumped around my ankles. I asked a wide variety of people where the get thier socks
Next time I'll try and keep the discussion profound.

No, lets keep the discussion banal and silly. You didn't answer my question about how it's possible for socks to slump around your ankles. I literally can't comprehend this as I've never encountered this before in my life. Usually they have an elastic band at the top that holds it to your leg right? What kind are you buying that slumps?
