Living in LA. Tips for going to Kings game

Went to two back to back Kings / Flames games (lockout year, funny scheduling) and wore Flames jerseys with 4 other guys so there were 5 of us. The Kings fans were a lot of fun, and it was all just ribbing. You should be fine as long as you're not an #######.

Be prepared for a person in a section to yell "Hey Flames fans..." followed by almost an entire section responding "YOU SUCK", and then everyone turning and staring and laughing at you.

Actually on the walk out after the game we even joked around with some Kings fans so much they invited us out to the bar and to party with them after, it was fun.

Between me and some of my friends we have visited about 20 of the NHL rinks sporting both Oilers/Flames jerseys pending on the person and everyone agrees the only place where they have heard negative things is Edmonton/Calgary

Leaving a game at Joe Louis once we had some pretty pissed off Wings fans yelling at us for a few blocks. My son was young at the time and didn't want to wear his jersey there the next time we went.

Yeah, everyone has the right to wear their team's colours but I'll never understand why some people feel they need to be extra vocal to represent their team... Just asking for trouble.

Been to about 4 games at Staples. Excellent venue and no problems with wearing Flames gear. My wife even got compliments on her Gaudreau jersey when he was a rookie. And that was the game that he had his hat trick in, and Gio scored the OT winner. They loved it because Johnny is an American!
