I had an oil change the other week and on the "checklist" they do they put "Wipers - OK". But they weren't, the one on the passenger side is damaged from the hail storm. So while they may sweep they are far from "OK".
I actually expected them to ask about replacing the blades - those places always love and up-sell.

Oh topic, that's actually a good point. That didn't happen overnight.
Why wouldn't they inform you? Well, because Mr.Lube, but still... that seems careless.

It's Mr. Lube. They probably didn't even look at the battery.

Well I don't just have a 280z as my only car. I'm not daily driving a 40 year old car around. But now I just regret saying anything at all.

I never read it as a brag. Just someone who is reminding himself to clean his battery terminals.

That reminds me I need to stop for a jug of milk on the way home. I figured you all would like to know.

Oh, so now you're bragging about your multiple cars! Oooh, look at Mr. Bigshot over here!

Also need to know where he's stopping to get it. Is it worth it to park, and then walk all the way to the back of Sobeys to save the $3 extra dollars they'll charge you at Esso?

Also, rags don't catch fire on batteries. Spilled oil burns off of the block after oil changes.

I told them exactly that, and they said "you're probably right, we probably should have told you that and will do so the next time". Jeesh.
Should really start changing the oil myself, but I seem to always do it at this Mr. Lube, as it's connected to Walmart and I can do some shopping while it gets done.

If you're trying to start a war the question is pasteurized or raw.

That is just terminal corrosion. You can see how it has all propagated from the terminal in little "worms". Could have been hastened by something (cleaner, coolant, who knows) getting splashed on it. No worries, as mentioned, just disconnect and clean it up.
Smoke was likely just a bit of spilled out (from when refilling) smoking as it sat on the hot engine block. It'll burn off pretty quickly, and is pretty standard for any oil change (BTW someone needs to make "glug proof" oil containers with a good air vent. )

They're all glug proof. You just need to hold it sideways when you pour.
