Uhm..............this thread is about how backward, sexist, third world Egypt is. Not us. When you put someone else down the last thing you want to do is look in the mirror because it might wreck all of those good feelings you get from being better than someone else.

Indeed. No law was enacted. This was an HR decision made by a media company (albeit a public broadcaster) looking to increase ratings. Obviously, it is discrimination and totally disgusting. But, it is the type of decision made (usually more discreetly) by media companies all over the world every day.
Incidentally, this decision is facing a significant amount of criticism in Egypt.

Well Saskatoon native Michaela Pereira. I like her and don't think she's unattractive but she has been packing on the pounds. She's since been sent to their Headline News station and Candy Crowley is no longer with CNN.
